    Returns

    All returns for a refund are subject to a 15% restocking fee in addition to any promotional offers for which we have incurred an expense (i.e. shipping, special packing, etc.). Shipping and Handling charges are not refundable. Removal or alteration of a product's serial number or serial number sticker will automatically void your Return Policy. Products that are returned with a missing, damaged or altered serial number will be refused RMA service and returned to you at your expense. If you elect to return any product without our prior knowledge or consent, we will promptly return the product to you and deny any such attempt. We are not responsible for any product that is returned to our address without first obtaining an RMA issuance. We do not accept any returns without prior authorization and will deny any attempt accordingly.

    This is our Detailed Standard Return Policy. Unless another return policy is indicated, products sold by ZAsale.com are covered by this Standard Return Policy. Merchandise under this Standard Return Policy may be returned within 14 days from the time you have received your purchase (delivered) in order to receive a refund. All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. All items returned for a refund are subject to a 15% restocking fee and shipping charges are not refundable.

    Many manufacturers offer additional factory coverage. With regard to this, you should contact the manufacturer of your item directly for information regarding eligibility and specific Terms and Conditions.

    Consumable Items Return Policy

    This is our Detailed Consumable Items Return Policy. Consumable items are items such as Printer Ink and Toner Cartridges, CD/DVD Media, Paper Products etc. that are consumed once they are used. Consumable Items can be returned within 14 days of the delivery date if and only if the item is sealed and unopened in its original retail packaging. These items are not eligible for RMA. Please contact our Customer Service Department via email for RMA information regarding consumable items.

    Open Box

    This is our Detailed Open Box Item Return Policy. ZAsale.com frequently sells items that are listed as "open-box." Because these items are sold at greatly reduced prices, they are subject to this limited 14 day non-replaceable return policy. Such items can only be returned within 14 days of the applicable delivery date. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ZAsale.com, and not the mere issuance of an RMA. ZAsale.com cannot provide replacement service for these items, as their stock is limited. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of these items is with the buyer. These items have been tested for functionality, but may have superficial physical defects including, but not limited to, scratches, dings or dents. Should these items exhibit a functional defect following their purchase, the buyer (not the manufacturer, distributor, or ZAsale.com) assumes the entire cost of all necessary servicing or repairs, unless otherwise required by law. OPEN BOX items are NOT covered by any 14-day satisfaction guarantee.

    If you purchase an Open-Box product you will receive an OEM or BAREBONE item, meaning you will only receive the item itself. Accessories are NOT INCLUDED with Open-Box products, even if the missing accessory is required for the item to function properly.

    Software Return Policy

    This is our Detailed Software Return Policy.

    Opened Retail or OEM software can only be returned for replacement, and replacement RMAs will only be honored if the returned software is defective or damaged. Retail Boxed software may only be returned for refund within 14 days of the delivery date if the packaging is unopened and factory sealed. No software returns will be accepted after 14 days. OEM software is non-refundable once purchased and delivered. OEM versions are intended for system builders only and cannot be transferred to another PC once installed. Purchasers of this software are required to comply with the terms of the applicable System Builder License, including responsibility for providing all end-user support. ZAsale.com is not responsible for system/software incompatibility, and incompatibility issues do not qualify software as damaged or defective. Customers are encouraged to contact the respective software publisher for answers to technical questions, such as minimum system requirements, prior to purchase.

    Manufacturer's Warranties

    ZAsale.com does not offer any express warranties. However, many of the products available through ZAsale.com are covered by Manufacturers’ Warranties. If a product is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, it will be stated on that product’s web page. Manufacturers’ warranty details are typically available at the manufacturer’s website. Please note that products in this category are non-refundable unless otherwise indicated.

    Products that state “This item can be returned to the product manufacturer only” must be returned directly to the product manufacturer for repair or replacement, unless otherwise required by law. For these items, the warranty policy provided by the product manufacturer explicitly requires that any returns, repairs etc. be requested and processed directly by the consumer (or “end-user”) of the item.

    LCD Monitor Limited Non-Refundable 14-Day Return Policy

    • There must be a minimum of 8 dead pixels to declare an LCD display defective and eligible for return.

    This is our detailed LCD Monitor Limited Non-Refundable 14-Day Return Policy. Products that state “This item is covered by ZAsale.com Non-Refundable 14-Day Return Policy", or items labeled as “Non-refundable” (or similar labeling) must be returned to ZAsale.com within 14 days of the delivery date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a replacement of the same item.

    ZAsale.com sells many products such as Notebooks and Monitors that feature LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screens. ZAsale.com adheres to the dead-pixel policy that is observed by the majority of manufacturers. In order to declare any product with an LCD screen "defective" and eligible for replacement or refund through any applicable ZAsale.com Return Policy, there must be a minimum of 8 (eight) dead LCD pixels.

    Memory (Modules, USB) Return Policy

    This is our Detailed Memory (Modules, USB) Return Policy. The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will result in your RMA being returned to you:

    • Physically damaged Memory cannot be returned.
    • Modules that are missing the manufacturer label containing model number and part number.
    • Modules that are missing the manufacturer warranty label.
    • Modules that include a manufacturer-applied heat spreader, but have had the heat spreader removed.
    • "Kit" Modules (which contain 2 or more memory modules packaged together) that are not returned as complete set.
    • USB Drives, Thumb Drives, Flash Memory, or any related product that is returned without the cap or protective casing.

    ADDITIONAL RMA TERMS

    • If you return any physically damaged item, the item will be returned to you at your expense.

    Mail In Rebate Policy

    Products missing UPC codes or serial numbers from the box are NOT returnable.

    Products offering mail-in rebates are not returnable once the rebates have been filed. Be sure that the product is functional and that you intend to keep the product before sending in for your rebate. Products missing UPC codes or serial numbers from the box are NOT returnable. Only the product manufacturer can replace any defective item missing the UPC code.

    Out-of-Stock (Back-Order) Items

    Sometimes items are returned after the product has been discontinued. If ZAsale.com no longer carries an item that is sent in for replacement, or if that item is simply out of stock, the item will be Back-Ordered. You will be notified via email with two options: either ZAsale.com can send you a comparable replacement item, or a refund of the current market value of the product will be issued. A current-market-value refund may not exceed the original invoice price. If the item is returned within 14 days of the original delivery date, a full refund will be issued.

    Downloadable Software

    Downloadable software is non-refundable once the download is complete. If you have purchased downloadable software, and did not download the software using the supplied download link, the software may be “returned” for a refund within 10 days of purchase. In order to process a refund for downloadable software a Letter of Destruction must be filled out completely and sent to our Customer Service Department.

    Returning a Product to ZAsale.com

    We want you to be satisfied with your purchase from ZAsale.com. When you need to return a product to us, please follow the easy steclips listed below to make sure your return is handled promptly and efficiently.

    Your Options

    Most products can be returned for either a Refund or for a Replacement (exchange) of the same item. Refunds are subject to a 15% restocking fee, which is deducted from the refund amount. Replacement/Exchange is not subject to any restocking fee.

    The RMA Process – Four Easy Steps

    1. Create an RMA for your item
      • Your product needs to be returned with an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number so we can identify it. You can request a RMA online from our Customer Service in your account detail login or via email.
    2. Send the product to ZAsale.com
      • Once your RMA is issued, you must obtain a shipping label with your preferred delivery method. (ie. USPS, UPS, Fedex, etc.)
      • Box up the item you’re returning and follow the instructions provided to you via email.
      • We recommend using a courier who provides package tracking and basic insurance coverage to ensure proper return delivery.
    3. Your RMA is Received and Approved
      • You’ll receive an email once your shipment is received at our facility.
      • You’ll receive another email once your package has been opened and your RMA has been reviewed & approved. It usually takes 2-5 business days from the time we receive your shipment to review and approve your RMA.
    4. RMA Resolution
      • If you requested a Replacement, a new order will be generated once your RMA is approved. You’ll receive standard email updates for the replacement order, just as you would for a newly placed ZA order.
      • If you requested a Refund, a credit memo will be generated once your RMA is approved. You can expect the refund amount to be credited to your original payment method 3-5 business days later. The turnaround time for Refunds often depends on your bank’s policies for making the funds available to you.
      • The overall turnaround time for a return is about 5-8 business days from the time we receive the shipment; (that is, 2-5 business days for RMA processing and 2-3 business days to expedite your refund or replacement).

    Return Policies

    Every product that you purchase from ZAsale.com has a Return Policy that defines the time period and limitations for returning the product. You can view all policy types on the Return Policy Page, or see the policy that applies to your purchased products on your invoice, under My Account.

    Our Return Policies are updated occasionally, but rest assured that the listed policy at the time you purchase your product will apply even if that product’s policy is changed after you buy it.

    Inspections

    Most RMAs are processed within 24-48 hours, but a small percentage cannot be resolved without contacting you for further information. If you receive an email from our RMA Inspections staff, it usually means your return was missing part of the product (such as accessories, the retail box, a battery, etc.) that we need in order to accept the RMA. The email will describe the issue and let you know what action you should take, if necessary.

    Special RMA Terms

    Some items ZAsale.com sells have special conditions that are described in the applicable Return Policy. In particular, some items may only be returned for a replacement rather than a refund. It’s always best to review your product’s Return Policy before checkout, which is viewable on the item’s product detail page or your ZAsale.com invoice.     Is it mandatory to have an RMA number in order to return a product to ZAsale.com?

    Yes. You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization ("RMA") number within the applicable Return Policy period. ZAsale.com will not accept returns without prior authorization and an RMA number. Once issued, RMA numbers are valid for 7 days. ZAsale.com must receive the returned products within this timeframe. RMA numbers will not be extended or reissued. Customer should prominently display the RMA number(s) on the shipping label of boxes containing the returned product.

    How do I acquire a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#)?

    Click here to request an Online RMA. We ask that all RMAs be requested online for maximum efficiency. If you have a special request, please email us as soon as possible to Support@ZAsale.com.

    May I exchange my RMA'd item for a different product?

    No. We do not exchange RMA items for different items. We will only replace an RMA'd item with a an identical replacement item of the same make and model. If the return policy period for a refund has not yet expired, you can request an RMA Refund (subject to 15% restocking fee), order a new item, and we'll refund your original purchase after we receive your returned product.

    Approximately how long will it be before a refund/credit actually appears on my credit/debit card ?

    It takes us approximately 2 business days to process a credit back to your credit card and additional 2-3 business days for it to appear on your statement.

    I am certain that my return was delivered to ZAsale.com, but I haven’t been notified that the RMA has been received. Why?

    It takes 1-2 business days for an RMA to process as "received" once we receive it. We will notify you as soon as your RMA has been processed.

    How long does it take for ZAsale.com to process an RMA?

    RMA processing time may vary depending on the product and reason for the return but generally processing time is 2-5 business days once the RMA is received and meet all following criteria:

    1. Return with RMA number clearly identified in shipping label or on package.
    2. Return with all original equipment, components, manuals, cables, documents and packaging.
    3. UPC code along with retail package must be intact.
    4. No physical damage caused by customer or by carrier.
    5. Item is NOT out of warranty when it is received.

    Is it necessary to return each individual accessory when I send in a return? What should I include with my RMA?

    Yes. All original equipment, components, manuals, cables, documents and packaging must be returned with your item in order for ZAsale.com to process your RMA. ZAsale.com cannot process RMA returns that are incomplete; incomplete RMAs will be returned to you. In most cases, items sent in for RMA replacement will be replaced with a full item set, including accessories. Please return all accessories and packaging with your RMA in order to ensure prompt replacement. (Be certain to always include the packaging material and box).

    When and why are restocking fees applied? How much is deducted when a return is subject to a restocking fee?

    There is a restocking fee of 15% on all returns for refund (RMA Refund), unless waived by a Customer Support Agent. We charge this 15% restocking fee for all returns for refund to encourage customers to purchase products they intend to keep. We offer RMA Replacement without any restocking fee to support customers who have received a defective product.

    Does ZAsale.com pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise?

    No, ZAsale.com does not pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise. We are not responsible for product defects, because we do not manufacture the products we carry. However, if you pay to send the item back to ZAsale.com, we will replace the item and ship the replacement to you at no charge. ZAsale.com will ensure that your item is replaced promptly, without hassle or delay.

    Will ZAsale.com cross-ship replacement merchandise?

    Cross shipping is not available, if an item is within thirty days of invoice, we will charge for a new item being sent out and credit your account once we receive the RMA item.

    I received an email indicating that the item I RMA'd is no longer available or is backordered. What happens now?

    If an RMA item is found to be on backorder and we cannot obtain the item, you will be notified by email and offered a similar replacement or a refund. We try to contact every customer in this case to find an agreeable replacement item or refund amount.

    I received an email indicating that the serial number of the item I RMA'd does not match the serial number of the product I originally purchased from ZAsale.com. What should I do?

    We keep serial numbers on all products we carry. Occasionally, our customers inadvertently return items that were not purchased at ZAsale.com. In such a case, the item in question will be returned to the customer with a request to send the correct item.
